The solution is an exclusively private home gym, paired with an educated personal trainer that will teach you everything you need to know to look, move, and feel your best, for life.
Tommy Kudoba Fitness Personal Training operates out of my home gym in Hespeler. All sessions are just yourself (the trainee), and me (the personal trainer). This means a distraction free environment, no worrying about other people, no waiting for equipment, no sweaty equipment, and best of all, no feelings of intimidation.
On top of getting to train in a private setting, you get some of the best personal training the region has to offer. Unlike big box gyms, where clients constantly flow in regardless of personal trainer results, my reputation is on the line with every client I train. If I don’t produce results, my business stops working. Additionally, the standard personal training certification is simply not sufficient in educating people to really help others. It is extremely surface level information, which is why I continue to seek and attend continued education elsewhere, ensuring I stay up to date with the newest knowledge in the personal training world. Much of my training approach comes from the FRC system, which is the same system most professional sports teams have been implementing for their athletes in recent years. Pair this with my decade and a half of experience in the gym, trial and error’ing on myself, and you know you’re in good hands.
What separates my personal training from others is that my programming is not full of generic exercises pulled from the sport of bodybuilding. All of my clients receive an in depth assessment to determine how their body moves, so that we can target the exact deficits present in their unique body. With that information, along with your personal goals (weight loss, adding muscle, etc.), we develop custom programming to make your body look, move, and feel better. Everyone’s body is unique and needs to be treated as such when training. Injury history, type of job, prior training or sport, age, and other lifestyle factors all play a role. To prescribe the same exercises for everyone without assessing joint capacity (the standard practice of most personal trainers) does not make sense, usually impedes progress, and results in a bumpy road long term.
As a personal trainer, my approach centres around longevity and making people better movers. Joints that are mobile and function properly, connective tissue that is resilient and resistant to injury, muscles that are strong and capable, and a cardiovascular system that kicks ass. I want my clients to be the best versions of themselves, and that includes being healthy, not just muscular. Last of all, I do my best to teach you the system behind my personal training so that you can take it with you as you continue your pursuit of fitness on your own.
